The Georgetown University Preferred Consideration Program is an opportunity for LaGuardia Community College students who are interested in transferring to non-CUNY schools.
Each year, Georgetown University (https://www.georgetown.edu) extends a priority consideration to three exceptional students at LaGuardia Community College preferred consideration.
Students accepted to this special transfer admission opportunity meet the following criteria:
- Minimum college GPA of 3.8, with a high school record similar to that of students who attend Georgetown.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and may not have previously earned a bachelor’s degree.
- Have completed 45 credits.
This is a nomination-only program and your advisor/program director will have to nominate you to this program with their recommendation. The application deadline for Fall 2024 is Wednesday, March 1, 2023 and the nomination deadline is Friday, March 15, 2024.
