“Hajimete no otsukai” (Old Enough!) is a famous Japanese TV program, in which a little toddler (around 3-8 years old) is asked to go an errand at a local grocery store alone. Japan is probably still one of the safest places in the world, in which you don’t need to worry about watching little kids all time — the community (rather than the parent) is responsible for keeping all children safe in Japan.
