Nichiren Buddhism (日蓮仏教) is a major Buddhism school in Japan, which is based on the teachings of a Japanese Buddhist priest Nichiren in the 12th centenary.
To commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Advent of Nichiren Daishonin, Nichiren Shoshu Temple Myosetsuji (42-32 Parsons Blvd, Flushing, NY 11355) is hosting a special exhibition of various buddhism artifacts and state-of-the-art models of architectural structures (such as a five-story pagoda designated as a tangible cultural asset). Some art works were shipped from Japan for this special exhibit.
The exhibit takes place from Saturday, February 5 to Wednesday, February 16, 2022 (Monday-Thursday: 10am-6pm and Friday-Sunday: 10am-8pm). Admission is free.
