The 10-year period after the Japanese bubble economy collapse in 1991 was called the Lost Decade (失われた十年) because of a long-term recession in Japan. An increasing number of economists now see that it was actually the Lost Decades (失われた三十年) — despite an aggressive economic policies such as Abenomics, the average salary in Japan hasn’t been changed much since 2000.
