The New York Times seems to think the Tokyo Olympics Games 2021 are unlikely to happen. It’s not entirely clear why Japanese domestic newspapers have never made such reports. Instead they reported what the Time had reported (without making their own analyses about the likelihood of the Tokyo Olympics). I can only surmise that there are very complex business relationships between the Japanese journalism and the sponsors of the Tokyo Olympic Games.
