A group of Japaense international students at LaGuardia Community College went to Rockaway of Queens, which suffered a devastating damage and loss by Hurricane Sandy. Many Japanese students said that America’s donation and recovery aid for the Tohoku Earthquake in 2011 motivated them into this volunteer work. One said “the spirit of compassion among citizens of different nations continues to grow”
