The LaGuardia Community College Foundation provides a range of scholarship and financial assistance opportunities to support both degree-seeking and continuing education students at Laguardia, regardless of citizenship status. These programs were made possible by generous donors and uniquely target the financial needs of students at LaGuardia Community College.

Foundation Named Scholarship

  • Awards of $1,000+ for students meeting a 3.0+ GPA requirement and 12 completed credits.
  • Application involves FAFSA or a Needs Assessment Form and a minimum 200-word personal statement.
  • Those who pass the application screening will be invited to an interview.

Friedman Fund Scholarship

  • Provides $500+ to non-citizen students who are not eligible for federal aid.
  • GPA threshold of 2.0+

Other Programs

  • Continuing Education Scholarships for workforce training, English language learning, and high school equivalency.
