The Peer Academy is hiring Peer Advisors for Spring 2025. Potential Peer Advisors must have a GPA of 2.8 or greater and a minimum of 12 credits. - Launched in January 2015, the Peer Advisor Academy aims to recruit, hire, and train students from LaGuardia Community College to serve as peer advisors.

- Mandatory training for Peer Advisors covers advisement tools like Degree Works, Schedule Builder, and ePortfolio, alongside communication, professionalism, resume writing, and interview skills.
- Peer Advisors work 12-15 hours per week on-campus and receive $17 per hour.
- Advisors need a minimum GPA of 2.8 and 12 completed credits by Fall I 2024, though exceptions are made for students planning to meet these requirements.
