The Belle Zeller Scholarship Fund was established in 1979 to honor Belle Zeller, the founding president of the Professional Staff Congress/CUNY. The scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students at the City University of New York (CUNY) who have completed at least 30 credits with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher. The scholarship is merit-based and not based on financial need. Recipients receive an award of $5,000, paid in two installments, and must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher and provide evidence of community service. The scholarship does not allow for deferral or reapplication, and recipients are selected based on an interview process by the Trustees of the Scholarship Fund. Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and transcripts. The deadline for applications is Friday, February 28, 2025.
