CUNY Cultural Corps (https://www.cuny.edu/academics/current-initiatives/cultural-corps/) offers paid work experience for CUNY students in NYC’s arts and cultural sector, aiming to diversify cultural institutions. The program partners with numerous non-profit organizations such as museums, zoos, and botanical gardens. The Fall 2024 application is open until July 21, 2024. Applicants choose from five departments: Communications & Marketing, Education & Public Programs, Development & Fundraising, Curatorial & Exhibitions, and Production Management. Selected candidates go through group interviews and, upon acceptance, attend pre-training workshops and a matching fair to pair with partner institutions. Interns work 15 hours per week at $20/hour. The program, initiated in 2016, is open to eligible CUNY undergraduates who meet specific criteria and offers valuable career experiences while enhancing diversity within the cultural sector.
