The Student Success Mentor (SSM) Program is recruiting applications for SSM in Spring 2025 between Monday, October 28 – Monday, December 2, 2024.

As a Student Success Mentor, you’ll have the chance to support fellow students in achieving their academic and personal goals. It’s a rewarding experience that not only enhances your leadership skills but also enriches your professional development. Plus, being part of the SSM program means you’ll join a community dedicated to fostering success at LaGuardia.

  • Roles and Responsibilities
    • Lead FYS Studio Hours.
    • Share personal experiences and college success tips.
    • Support first-year events and develop seminar resources.
    • Provide academic guidance, particularly in advising and technology support.
  • Qualifications
    • Be a current LaGuardia student with a minimum 3.2 GPA or a recent graduate.
    • Demonstrated academic success and growth.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of digital platforms like Digication and Zoom.
    • Previous mentoring and ePortfolio experience.
  • Compensation
    • Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, including training and professional development.
