LaGuardia Community College is looking for students who are interested in joining President Society, a student fellowship program, in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. The student must have a GPA of 3.0 or above and must be able to attend their workshops (Wed 5:30pm – 7:30pm and Fri 10:00am – 2:00pm). The participants will receive a stipend for $2,000.
The President Society offers an opportunity for students to enhance their professional skills and network. This year-long development initiative includes workshops, networking with industry leaders, cultural outings, and leadership opportunities at college functions. Participants, known as President’s Society Ambassadors, can expect to improve interview and presentation skills, gain a stronger network of mentors and peers, develop career planning abilities, and receive a $2,000 stipend for their participation. Eligibility requires full-time enrollment, completion of at least one semester, a minimum 3.0 GPA, a history of leadership, and a commitment to attend all workshops.
