The Friedman Transfer Scholars Program (FTSP) is a great opportunity for highly competitive students at LaGuardia Community College, who are interested in transferring to Macaulay Honors College, one of CUNY’s most prestigious and selective honors colleges dedicated to preparing students to meet the challenges of New York, the nation, and the world. Unlike the other transfer programs, you must be a freshman (1st year student) to apply for this transfer program. The deadline for Fall 2026 transfer is Monday, May 6, 2024.
The FTSP offers a seamless pathway for associate students eager to continue their education as part of a Macaulay Honors bachelor’s program. One of the advantages for Macaulay students is the financial support that the program offer, which include:
- Laptop for high need students
- MetroCard for participation in the Summer Intensive Program
- Stipend for participation in, and completion of, the Summer Intensive Program
- A tuition scholarship
- Access to the Opportunities Fund to participate in internship, study abroad or research
- Individualized advising
