LaGuardia Community College is recruiting Student Success Mentors (SSMs) for Fall 2021. The deadline for the application is Friday, May 28, 2021. The qualifications are:
- Be a current LaGuardia Community College student with a minimum of 24 completed credits and two semesters with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Be proficient in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Possess a strong commitment to integrity in the workplace
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Possess strong leadership skills as well as the ability to both collaborate and work as part of a team, as well as independently
- Have demonstrated success with distance learning
- Possess a solid understanding of the distance-learning student experience, along with an enthusiasm for supporting student success in a virtual environment.
