Vassar is a prestigious four-year college located on a beautiful campus in upstate New York. During the summer, Vassar hosts the Exploring Transfer program. Exploring Transfer is a five-week summer immersion program for community college students that allows them to take small seminar-style classes on Vassar’s campus. The small classes allow students to develop a sense of belonging because their cohort is a small and close circle of peers. The classes engage students in an approach to a liberal arts education through intensive, intellectual academic discourse and writing.
The program is fully funded. The cost of room, board, and books are covered. In addition, LaGuardia offers a stipend to offset costs that students may lose from missing summer employment.
