We are excited to announce an upcoming career orientation meeting for Japan Studies (and possibly Tourism and Hospitality) students at LaGuardia Community College, featuring a guest speaker from Hoshino Resorts, a renowned Japanese hotel management company with over 100 years of history and more than 70 properties worldwide.
Hoshino Resorts has been a pioneer in the hospitality industry in Japan for over a century, blending modern amenities with traditional Japanese culture to create unforgettable experiences for their guests. They are considering an expansion into the U.S. market and aim to bring a slice of Japanese heritage, particularly the therapeutic and cultural significance of onsen bathing, to a wider audience.
During this career orientation meeting, Masa Ishizuka from Hoshino Resorts will introduce their company’s strategy, discuss various career opportunities in Japan, and share details about an exciting potential project to open a traditional and authentic “onsen ryokan” (hot spring inn) in the U.S.
