The Japan Studies Program is pleased to host this virtual workshop by Mr. Hashim Smith, an alumnus of LaGuardia Community College, who has been developing his careers in education and hospitality industry in Japan. He is going to share his first-hand experience in finding jobs in Japan.

The meeting is virtual (Zoom) and you will need to register for the event.

  • Description of the event: Description: Hashim Smith is a LaGuardia alumnus (Business Administration in 2017) who self-studied and took a Japanese language class at LaGuardia. He has lived in Fukuoka, Japan and currently resides in Tokyo. He also has 5 years of teaching experience at various Japanese kindergartens and is about to start a career in the hospitality industry working in a hotel in Shibuya. Hashim will introduce his first-hand experience in finding jobs in Japan while you are in the U.S. and moving into Japan to build up your careers overseas.
