The CUNY Explorers Program at CUNY is seeking college assistants to work in their department at LaGuardia Community College, Under the supervision and with the support of a Program Coordinator will guide middle school students through a visit of the campus.
Qualifications
The Campus Visit Guide will:
– Be enrolled Full Time as a LaGuardia Community College student in the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022
– Have availability for at least two of the four workdays (Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri) between 10:00 AM & 2:00 PM ● Have experience working with youth, especially middle school age students
– Have strong oral communications, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal skills
– Be comfortable with using and communicating on web-conferencing tools (Zoom/ Google Meet)
– Have either U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident or DACA status

Compensation
– The visit guides will earn $17/hour
– Paid training and ongoing professional development
