LaGuardia Community College has launched LaGuardia Merit Scholarships, a new scholarship program that provides 1,000 qualifying degree-seeking students with $500 fund. The scholarship can be used to pay tuition, fees, books, technology, or personal expenses.
To qualify, returning students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Freshmen must have a high school average of at least 80. To demonstrate financial need new students must complete federal (FAFSA) and NYS (TAP) financial aid applications. Continuing LaGuardia students with a 2.5 GPA already receiving federal and state financial aid are automatically eligible.
