Freeman-ASIA (Freeman Awards for Study in Asia) is designed to support undergraduate students who are planning to study overseas in East or Southeast Asia (including Japan). The scholarship covers up to $5,000 (up to $3,000 for a summer program) of the cost of the study abroad program and related expenses, including airfare, basic living costs, local transportation, books, etc.

If you are planning to take part in any study-abroad program to Japan (or any other East or Southeast Asia country), please consider applying for this scholarship. More information about the scholarship is attached to this e-mail. You can also visit their website at http://www.iie.org/Programs/Freeman-ASIA. The deadline for Summer 2016 Programs is March 1, 2016.
