LaGuardia Community College hosted a workshop on the art of etegami (drawing letter) and the Japanese brush art on March 22, 2016. The workshop consisted of a one-hour lecture on etegami and two-hour hands-on and guided activities to create etegami. Ms. Tomoko Shibuya, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Jobu University.
Prior to the workshop, LaGuardia students gave Jobu University students from Japan a guided tour to New York City.
